Learning Japanese

Learning Japanese

I find their language nice and I've been meaning to learn basic Japanese language. Anyone knows what site I can go to learn?

TIA

iTunes

I found some good language learning podcasts in iTunes that even included pdf files for reading material. I am not sure if this was what you are looking for though.

CD

I used to have a CD for the PC that teaches basic Japanese. The language is a bit difficult to learn especially since the sentence structure is different from how we form sentences in English. You'll really have to devote a lot of time in learning it...not to mention the kanji.

In iTunes, click on the iTunes store. Then:

podcasts / education / language courses

The 4th on the page is a japanese course.

When I search for Japanese in iTunes and then go to podcasts I can see 30 podcasts.

Here are some direct links to some of the podcasts featured on iTunes:

Japanesepod101.com

Japancast.net

SurvivalPhrases.com

Is that Thank you in Japanese?

Anyways, thanks Andre for the links, helpful for anyone who wants to learn Japanese or at least get some few basic words.

Yes

Yes it is. :D

Also, I recently saw a "Learning Japanese" software in a computer store. I didn't check the price, though I'm assuming it's cheaper than the games stuff.

Nice to see that I'm not

Nice to see that I'm not the only one who is thinking about learning japanese although it will be a tough task.

Hard

It will be tough, yes. Especially if you're going to think English while learning Japanese. There are words that don't really have a specific translation in English like "yoroshiku" or something. And that "desu" which I always seem to hear...

Check out Pimsleur. They

Check out Pimsleur. They have some great language tapes. I learn some Spanish from it.  They use a system developed to allow you to understand conversation really quickly. The FBI and CIA use it. Do a Google search.
