I love travelling and sharing my experiences with you!
Hello everybody,
I’m Pasquale, an Italian guy living in South East UK.
Usually Italian people are known as poets, musicians and travellers. I can classify myself in the third category…
Yes, I love travelling… I have travelled to lots of cities in Europe. My friends said me that I’m like a vagabond because I’m continually moving from a city to another and I have never had a fixed placed to stay in the last 5 years… Basically the reason is because I LOVE studying foreign language. At moment I speak fluently English, Spanish and French.
It’s a while now that I have started to study Japanese as well. The main reason is because I’d like to learn more
about the intriguing aspects of East Asian cultures.
I have trip coming up in the JAPAN in August of this year and would like some advice, please. My plan is to fly into NAGOYA and visiting the east coast in Japan.
Can anybody suggest any must see places? I have some ideas, But more the better.
Do you know where I can get a short course of Japanese when I arrive there?

I can only speak French & English and write both the languadges. You also seem like quite the traveler, I dont travel ALOT but when I do its usualy for a few months. Anyways, welcome to the forums.
I lived in Japan but learned very little Japanese. If you've been studying and can do some basic things like count and introduce yourself and ask directions or 'where is', simple things, the best thing to do while you are there is use what you know at every opportunity. If you meet someone who talks to you because they want to practice their English, ask them for some time speaking Japanese in return.
I can't tell you how many times I counted my change out loud, or asked how much something was and repeated the price before I got the numbers down.
By the way, a good way to get used to numbers in a foreign language is to read every sign you see with numbers on it in the new language. So the M1 becomes the M-ichi. Just keep doing it, phone numbers, your electric bill, everything. Try doing arithmetic, too.
My one visit to Japan was awesome. I fount it very enjoyable and I would defianatly go back. The problem is it was when I was yonger so I do not remember much about it, but have fun on your trip anyways!
