I just realized I never introduced myself.  I'm a retired senior backpacker who is taking this year to stay in a couple of different places rather than move around a lot.  Travel is my passion, and I've quit work several times to go wandering.  Right now I'm in Thailand, and planning to move on to Penang, Malaysia and Lake Toba on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.  Though that doesn't mean much as I'm likely to change plans at the last minute.  I'm always thinking about where I want to go next, not just my next stop but where I think I'd like to spend next winter, and the winter after that.
