I don't remember that much, but there was a Cliff Walk with beautiful scenery and some nice historic houses near downtown. I think Newport wasn't that big though, so you shouldn't have much trouble finding stuff.

Maybe someone else knows more.

Yeah, the Cliff Walk is great. Also, check out Castle Hill Lighthouse.

And you could drive along Bellevue Avenue to take a peek at the enormous mansions there, like The Breakers.

Are you talking about Newport Beach in California? Theres not much to do there, other than to relax at the beach. Theres some shopping if you go to south coast plaza...very big mall as well as fashion island. overrall, its more for relaxing than sight seeing, but its definitely a nice place.
